General Twitter Information
Why Twitter?
  • Stay in touch with clients easily and non-intrusively
  • Stay in touch with prospective clients
  • Meet new potential clients
  • Meet new potential referrers
  • Keep on top of "what's going on" 


What is Twitter?
  • Twitter is a micro-blog
  • 140 character to share a brief message with your followers
  • Intended to be up-dated frequently
  • Share relevant information with your followers
  • Learn relevant information from those you follow
  • Information not filtered through main stream media
  • Messages received directly from the speakers

Profile
  • Include personal hobbies or interests you are comfortable with clients knowing about you.
Example: You are an avid gardener or You speak Spanish  or  You refurbish antique cars
Also:
  • Include that you are a REALTOR. 
  • Include the area that you work in
  • Include any specialty you focus on 
  • Your Brokerage Name (as this tends to be required by many governing bodies) 

Posting a Tweet    
  • 140 characters including spaces and punctuation
  • Make content interesting
  • Some personal
  • Some business
  • Make most of your posts your own content
  • Post photos, videos and links (of your own content often)
